A Statement Painting: Oil on Canvas 24″ x 24″ Memories of a Winter’s Day was inspired by a recent visit to Whitstable, Kent (UK) the colours in the sea, the shoreline and the sky, and of course memories from plein air painting.
This painting will bring to life your lovely home and give you hours of enjoyment.
Supported on a 12oz cotton duck canvas stetched by myself using top quality stretcher bars and prepared with two coats of acrylic gesso. Painted with several layers of Artist quality oil paints using brushes and palette knife.
Mounted in a white wood floater frame.
Ready to hang.

Ann Palmer Artist has paintings in three locations this summer; Nucleus Arts in Chatham, La Galleria in Pall Mall, London and Eclectic Art Gallery in Margate.

Since Lockdown I continue painting! I am delighted that Galleries are opening up! I am contributing to three live events going on right now!

Eclectic Art Gallery – this is a pretty little gallery at 6 Broad Street CT9 1EW in the heart of Margate Old Town;  open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm and from 1st August Wednesday and Thursday as well.  You will always find my work there as I have a Gallery Wall with up to 12 oil paintings, new work I do during the month is often to be found here! La Galleria Pall Mall – this is a new venue for me at 30 Royal Opera Parade SW1Y 4UY just 5 minutes from Trafalgar Square. I am  delighted to have 4 oil paintings in their Summer Exhibition from 16th to 30th July.  Find the Gallery on line https://www.lagalleria.org/

Nucleus Arts and The Halpern Gallery in Chatham.  Many of you have already visited my Studio in Rochester and the Halpern Pop;  this time I have a painting in the Halpern Gallery Summer Exhibition in Chatham open daily. 

Studio Visits. You are always welcome to visit me at home (contact me);  where I have most of my paintings, drawings and prints and a selection of cards. Studio One in Rochester is closed to the public for the present due to Corona Virus precautions and although I am still working there I have taken home the display.

I would like to thank all those who visited my Open Studio event in July; apart from two days of rain we have a lovely time with visitors each day and several people took home oil paintings, prints, drawings and cards.

Exciting news! 6 of my paintings will be on display in the Art Utopia Group Exhibition at Elizabeth James Gallery, South Norwood from 9th to 22nd July.

This exhibition showcases Open Themed Contemporary Art. Artists were asked to submit their most recent artwork for inclusion. Elizabeth James Gallery has selected artworks of various mediums and content for an outstanding vibrant exhibition of creative minds. The Private View is 9th July 2019 7 – 9pm. I shall be there! Join us for a glass of wine and mingle! You will need to register for the Private View; any other time just come along. (Registration Essential Private View Only)

#Oil on hand stretched #canvas 24″ x 24″ this gentle #seascape is now finished and will be exhibited at Capital Art Gallery in April.

Memories of summer 2018.  I have added a little aureolin to give more wet sand impression and some Naples Yellow and Raw Sienna on the sand.
