Author: Ann

Ann Palmer is a landscape painter based in Rochester, Kent and in the Loire Valley chateau and vineyard region where she owns cottages to rent. She works ‘en plein air’ in oils in Kent and in Touraine in the Loire Valley; her subject matter includes the valleys and coasts of Kent and the vineyards and Chateaux of France. Ann works quickly, resulting in a freshness which is impressionistic yet creates a clarity of subject and defines the mood of the day. Ann uses artist quality oils on acrylic primed MDF using both brushwork and palette knife.

  1. Hi Pat
I have been thinking of you this hot weather, and hoping to come over to see you before too long. My exhibition in Whitstable is going extremely well with 3 large oil paintings sold and about ten prints! Enjoy luncheon club. I have a very busy week, taking down in Whitstable, taking 6 paintings to Eltham, preparing for another Solo in Chatham and also I have been invited to exhibit in the Summer Exhibition of C&G Gallery in Tunbridge Wells which is to be held at Broomfield. Do keep in touch; I have a few weeks before we next go to France so will let you know when I hope to come across
    lots of love Ann

  2. Hello Ann, I am pleased to hear you are doing so well but am unable to travel so far now. I have reach the grand old age of 89. I struggled in the heat but am feeling better now it is cooler. I don’t go on Wednesdays painting as I have other things going on, this week it is Luncheon Club. Love Pat
